Unhappy My Original Mu-tron III is not OK

Sign in to disble this ad
It was working just like it should before the moment when I took it to rehearsal place, then sound became too boomy, I thought maybe the batteries died, I came home and yes, batteries where dead. I went to the shop and bought 2 Duracell batteries, best I could find, I changed them, switched on Mu-tron and nothing, I could hear the clean sound but no effect at all. I decided to take pedal apart to see if I burned it, it looked ok, I plugged my bass while the pedal was opened and it worked again, I almost believed it is fixed and put it together, sound became boomy again. I took the pedal apart one more time and since that no effect at all, however clean sound could be heard.
What could it be?

well I don't know if that helps.. but when I received mine (it has an adapter), I actually forgot to power it, but clean sound was still coming out of it... I was ready to phone the guy who sold it to me until I realised it, it took me a good 20 minutes

if you have a power supply input, try to buy one? mine is one of these: http://deutronic.com/ac-adapter/6-wa...cker-tisch.htm

I think the 5-12, but I need to check when I'm home first, let me know if you need the info

Yes, I think I want an adapter, doesn't metter if pedal is broken or not, I don't want to bother with batteries, or maybe mod it with boss style power input. I found one german web-site for mods and repairs http://www.tonehunter.de/service/eng_reparatur.php They also do true bypass.

If you're looking for someone to mod your Mu-tron for 9v standard Boss input, I highly recommend Dave at the GigRig.

Go to www.thegigrig.co.uk and email Dave with what you want done. He did mine for me and the work was top quality! I couldn't be happier.
