My Pedal Colection..Opinions,Contructive Critsism,Ideas

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi

I've been collecting pedals for a while and recently made a push.

Now I have this collection and would like experienced opinions on....

Redundancy,Which to keep/sell.

Opinions on the Programable stuff that seems more likely to screw up...ie ditch the deep impact and switcher thing for a Micro synth and a normal looper.

Ditch everything with more than 3 knobs on it...

Nah, pure jelousy here, great stuff on your collection.

I wouldn't know how to even begin to think about arranging them on a usable board, but that's me, a "one or two pedals at a given time" kind of fella. Guess I'm odd (and poor, but mostly odd)

Definitely keep the Angler. Those things kill in a mix, and probably only around 40 even exist.

What an awful pedal collection...in fact just send them to me and I'm make sure that they are disposed of

JK...looks great! What does your signal chain normally look like and what type of music do you normally play?

9 out of 10 times its a Jazz bass W/pre into a Bergantino Mini IP112 stack.

Thinking about ditching the onboard pre for the Choices on a board hence the sadowsky/VT bass thing.

Great collection man, feel free to dump this way anything you want out :-)

Only thing i see missing is a tuner (maybe it's on top right corner ?)

Anyway, lots of bands think (or thought) tuning as being trivial, but still kicked it !!!!

Gotta go, dude, got to find my Sex Pistols CD...

I'd ditch the bassballs and a distortion or two, then get yourself a wah

Wah Pedal of autowah?

As I said thinking of ditching sansamp and bass balls

The Big muff is fuzz right?

Angler and VT are distortion? if that the case the VT is more of a "Cleanish" Fat Pre for me. ALA B15

It's all a matter of taste...bought an autowah 3 weeks ago and brought it back in for the EHX Bassballs...it's a simpler pedal that fits my stuff better. Am thinking of a wah pedal, had a go at the bass cry baby the other day and it's great !
Depends on your mood, i guess

By distortion I mean distortion, fuzz, or overdrive. So ya, ditch the Sansamp and Bassballs and get a wah pedal (not an autowah, you're groove regulator basically can do that already)

I'm not sure I understand the question or any of the answers above.

Are you currently using all of these pedals, or just getting ready to debut them? You need to decide what sounds you are looking for. Then determine whether your current collection can get those sounds.

Lots of posters on this forum have two, three or four different envelope filters, fuzzes, octavers, and so on in order to get more flavors. EVERY pedal has its plusses and minuses. NONE can "do it all". Whether YOU need three fuzzes, or whatever is up to you.
