My "PedalLid" Design

Sign in to disble this ad
Here are two phases of my former PedalLid - a pedalboard of diamondplate mounted in the rear lid of my rack. Was cool for portability, but the Mo' Bass I bought last week has analog effects that actually sound better than the pedals. I post it here, as it is still a unique and cool idea... This was built into the rear of an SKB 6-space X rack.

Here's an earlier version:

ZVEX Fuzz Factory (w/ Mammoth Mod) > Dunlop Bass Wah > E-H Micro Q-Tron > Analogman Mini Bi-Comp > E-H Nano Small Stone > MXR M117 Flanger; 1-2 Box was used to switch the effects on a Lexicon MX200 that I used to have.

And here's the last version:

ElectroniX MessDrive > ZVEX Fuzz Factory (w/ Mammoth Mod) > ZVEX Seek Wah > E-H Nano Bass Balls > E-H Q-Tron > E-H Nano Small Stone > iSP Decimator; 4-button switch box at top was for control of the Overdrive and Subwave on an SWR 750x and the program bypasses on the Lexicon MX2000. This last version also had a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ mounted under the diamond plate!

I no longer own the SWR 750x or the Lexicon MX200. After the Mo' Bass and a Maxon AD-999 Analog Delay, I decided to NEVER go back to digital FX ever again!

Thats a really good idea, however the outside surface of the rack lid is slippery, wouldnt that slip all over the place on stage, or have you got rubber feet on that side?

I had it on carpet only, but I suppose adding rubber feet would do just fine.
