Some time yesterday, my P/L took a dump, and I wasn't even there when it happened.
I press the switch* and the LED comes on; the gain works fine, the volume sorta works; if I throw the boost switch, it gets louder; and that's all - not grit, no dirt, not even dust. It seems to have decide it's a booster with a few spare parts, in that it does pass the signal on and the booster seems to be working. My knowledge of things circuit-related could fill a matchbook, but I opened it up to see if anything was obviously wrong, but everything looks OK (no broken connections or anything). It worked fine day before yesterday, but yesterday evening it refused to do. Anyone else seen/heard (not heard?) of something like this, and if so, what did you do about it (besides the obvious and contact Bogdan, and does he do repair work?)
* I don't even use my foot, BTW - my board sits on top of my amp and I use my fingers to 'stomp'.

I think that there was one case of dead Polish Love indeed and Bogdan sent the guts for exchange, so don't worry. |

Thanks, guys! Off to the e-mail client thingy...

Bogdan had me run a couple of simple tests (no good), and then told me to send him the pedal. It's on it's way back there now for I'm guessing a guts swap...he's even covering the return shipping. Now, all I have to do is be patient...hard to do, since I had it just long enough to really like it.

Good to know yet another small builder who is takin' care of business and (possibly) workin' overtime.

I see a lot of people talking about him but nothing from the man himself. |

And yeah, its good to know that he's there when needed afterwards, even when I didn't buy it directly from him - mine came from the classifieds here. I'd like to talk to him about obtaining a Hate sometime soon...

| | Gettin' crazy with the Cheez Whiz! | | Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Visalia CA | | | Update time - I just now got mail from Bogdan, who says that the pedal is working just fine for him, politely reminded me that it plugs in from right to left, and that it's in the mail back to me. I (politely) told him that there was a tuner on the right side of it and a VT Bass on the left side of it on my board, and/but that I appreciated him checking it for me (and I really do appreciate his time, and I'm not questioning anything he says, FWIW), and thanking him for it all.
So. I have not idea what's what with it all, but I'm glad the thing works. I am one of those people who, if the package says it contains 12 shower-curtain rings, I'll end up with the package that only has 11, and I'm guessing that whatever Law Of The Universe controls stuff like that also controls stuff like this. I just hope that it doesn't un-fix itself on the way back to me...

I would consider that it's "all me", something I'm doing wrong, except that one time I was the seller, where the buyer said the item didn't work, but it worked fine when he returned it to me. So this is just one of those mysteries like the one sock that goes missing in the dryer, or the keys/phone/etc. that were not right there on the table a minute ago when you were looking for them. |
