My rig (I want your opinion lawls!)

Sign in to disble this ad

This is my rig, Guitar Geek style.
The shifter isn't all that good, is the Whammy IV any better? I should've tried that at GC but I forgot to when I bought it like a year ago.
I love the Dano to death, I know it's a guitar pedal, but hey, so are my two Muffs. D:
I bought the Akai three weeks ago and the SYB just today.

I'm also planning on getting a Bass Graphic Equalizer and a TU-2, cause I hate batteries, but hey, first things first, plus cash is kinda low.

Anyways, Here's a soundclip of the Akai Looper, the SYB-3 and the Big Muff in action, it's only a few seconds long and the sound quality and that good, but hey, something's something.

asking how your rig is is not a question easily answered without knowing what type of music you play... for country this rig is probably terrible... however, for spacey rock stuff it is probably cool!

what sort of music would be coming through this chain?

BTW, the loop was nice and squelchy.... that sound was totally cool.

Oh yeah, I mostly play noise rock or distortion ridden stuff like shoegazing or some alternative stuff.

And Muse.

But hey, an Akai Deep Impact costs 500 bucks.

Muff fan much?

And I never thought of doing that with my BA115.

Ha ha you should, it's great, all that distortion and you still have your gritty low end.

And yeah, if you have any old muffs you dont want you know who to call

looks like a good shoegaze board.

deep impact is overrated. had one on loan for a while, didn't dig it that much.

Personally, I prefer the wah after the distortion/fuzz.

I find that wah after distortion sucks out the distortion's tone and turns it into well, wah.

Plus the overdrive really accentuates the wah before distortion.

Oo la la! Pitch shifter in a wah...different! NICE!

Your setup looks 5 by 5 to me. Your setup looks pretty boomy. Have you considered a 2x12 to pull in a little higher tones on your rig?

I think you need just one more muff. Seriously. You do.

After research:

Potatoshop is slang for the Adobe Photoshop CS4 package, which costs $700.
