The Moog pedals are awesome, but costly. Don't worry yourself. I'm forever putting wishlists together for stuff I can't afford, and don't really need. I've got some really nice gear, but always dreaming of having more. It's hopeless.

Out of that list, I have the Moog Low Pass Filter, Blueberry OD and the Foxrox Octron.

The Moog LPF is great! It isn't all that versatile when run on its own, but when you get an expression pedal or the control processor, things really start to get cool!

The blueberry is also a great overdrive, it's very bassy but loses some high end, which isn't too much of a problem. It can go from almost clean to medium gain overdrive.

Again, the octron is great too :P. Tracking is good, down to A on the E string. Nice natural octave down. The octave up sounds very cool! The tone of it can be changed a lot through the trim pots which can be found inside the pedal.

Just a heads up... Chronicle recently have the Moog Phaser a pretty poor review IIRC, apparently it loses lows which is never good! Just try it before you buy and see if you like it .

Underpriced and awesome. Get a used one.

Vintage Fender Jazz
Overpriced and possibly awesome. Get three of something else.

Very awesome pedals. Good luck getting a Blue Berry, it took me a year to finally track one down. I miss my Moog, but do not miss the horrible bypass system. Said Analog.man Chorus is the only permanent fixture on my board, and still my favourite effect pedal in the history of everything.

Skip the Moog unless you are willing to get really into pedal-knob-tweaking and add an external bypass switcher.

The Blueberry is one of my top favorite pedals ever, but as nad said, good luck finding one.

The Compulator is excellent.

I love my Blueberry! Its one I will never part with.

I decided I wanted one and on the same day, was lucky enough to pick up David Wilsons One thing though, I have since written to Bjorn and he says he still makes them. Also Custom Sounds always have them on their site with a price and everything to order one. Are they full of it? Why display it if you can't get it? Notice some pedals on their site say "Out of Production"... Not the case for the Berry.

I have tried the Moog LP and I loved it. I wasn't aware of the bypass issues though. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't heard of the Moog phaser losing lowend before. That would not be a good thing. I'll definitely try it before I buy it. Thanks for the info.

I think that its still available, but there's usually a bit of a wait. I ordered from custom sounds, and I just had to wait for a batch to be made... I think that they just get made a little less often then some of the other BJFE pedals. If someone's looking for one, send an email out to Harri at custom sounds. He's been really helpful and gave me a realistic idea how long I've had to wait every time I've bought from him.

As for the moog, been said in lots of threads before, but the constant gain increase is a bit of a problem sometimes too. And mine picked up foreign radio stations in some of the places I lived.

I also highly suggest you try before you buy, and do a bit more research on other phasers. I really dug the LPF, the analog delay I played was cool but NOT worth the price tag, but I wasn't so impressed with the Phaser. YMMV.

But other than that, its all pretty much rockin' equipment you have planned out. For me its assorted basses, two Custom designed/modified KT88 Based Heads (ala HiWatt/Reeves etc) with notch filters at the high and low EQs, dual high/low mid EQs, and seven stage preamps with NOS Mullards for overdriven (12ax7's) and for clean (12at7's) tones, two Schroeder 4x12 Lights with custom Grill Cloth, then my pedals plus a Toneczar Halophase, an Empress Super Delay (probably going to be the first 'round these parts with one), a Robot Factory Meatwad, and a Dredgetone Angler.

Any suggestions for phasers then. Ross phaser, vintage mutron? Anyone heard of this moonphaser?

I've also heard some good things about an Ibanez tube screamer mod by Analog.man for bass. Any one tried one of those on bass?
