This is pedal called Spice from HSW.

If you have to be 40' from your amp, you can join 2 x 20' leads at this box.

By the looks of the interior, it does nothing. Looks as if it serves as a "splice" to connect one instrument cable to another and thus give you greater length. If it's in Japan, it wouldn't surprise me if "Spice" is supposed to be "Splice". The whole Engrish thing going on...

Don't you guys know a Box Of Awesome when you see one? that's obviously wire taken straight out of a Neve preamp; be scheptical if you like, but until you've tried it, you'll never know how much this box will improve your sound! crystal clear highs, singing mids and a rock-solid bottom end are all guarenteed with this puppy!

You could end up with some sort of internet meme cache if you have one of these on your pedal board.

I heard these pedals make your tone warmer because they use cloth insulation on the wires.

I gives the effect of having a full pedal board when you have a space for one more stomp box.

It seems to be just a more user-friendly, "set it and forget it" version of this...

The "IN" and "OUT" markings need to be bigger.

BTW, 6,000 Yen = $72 USD, not 722 as written in the OP.

But remember, it's vintage!

He mistyped. The initial bid is 40,000 yen, and the buy it now price is 60,000 yen, close to 722 bucks.

This seems to be a joke. It very roughly says:

"When you connect the spice pedal, it carries a unique compression effect that will enhance your system's sound by adding a wonderful sheen to the overtones.

Also, the scattering of the sound will be less, increasing your "direct forward pushing" power.

Furthermore, by reversing the in and out connections, you can enjoy a sound of raging highs. Please use it according to your preference.

SPICE is connected between the jacks with Vintage Wire, using a simple design.

Of course, because there is no circuit, a battery is not necessary.

Due the simplicity of the effect pedal, it can be used with systems other than guitar. Please try it out with various systems.

Box and user manual included.

This is a used product, so no warranty, no return."

Thanks for a good laugh this evening.
