around 3:34 the bass either has an autowah or a wah pedal to make that sound (I THINK! I'm not sure)

I was wondering what you guys think went in to making that sound

It does sound like an auto-wah to me, with some volume swells that could have been done with the volume control or a volume pedal.

The problem I have with it being an autowah is that it's very consistent; it's really sticking in the same area for a prolonged time. I can't keep my autowah from rocking around even with tweakage (it's a BR2) I was HOPING that it's possible to replicate it using just a wah pedal (105q) but it may require other techniques.
