NAMM 2009!

Sign in to disble this ad
There hasn't been much Effects forum talk about NAMM this weekend, and now it's over, so I figure all the goodies must be unveiled at this point. So far I've seen there are some new Markbass pedals, and a new Malekko delay. Anyone know of any other cool stuff. I thought Malekko was supposed to have more then just the delay. I did find this pic:

Edit: This thread has some other stuff.

A friend of mine went to NAMM and reported info back to me. He talked to Xotic Effects about the new Robotalk. The price will be $280, and it should be available in February. He also talked to the MarkBass people. Apparently, the pedals are just prototypes. They will possibly be available in 3 to 6 months.

As for Malekko, I remember threads on the Holley Erectus and the Plaster Caster. But, it doesn't appear these things were at NAMM, nor have we heard anything about them in a while.

I got all excited about your picture. I thought it was going to be an B:Assmaster with a germanium/silicon option. A long time ago, I sent them an e-mail asking if they ever thought about making a B:Assmaster with a switch that would allow you to select between the two. I never got a response which I found odd. They were always good about responding in the past. When I saw your picture, I initially thought either (1) they didn't respond because they were already working on it or (2) wow, they really listen to the customers. But upon further review of the picture, I have no idea what it is supposed to be.

Edit: Well, I should have gone to your link. I see the info is already out on the Robotalk.

It's a version of the B:Assmaster made to go in a synth module rack.

NAMM was pretty insane... saw some cool stuff, got to hang with Brian from Subdecay, which was fun... i finally got to hear some more of his pedals, and was really impressed by the Echobox... sort of like the best memory man ever... my studio partner was way into it.

the best part was drinking by the pool in 86degree weather.

and IHOP.

I think I like the looks of that Deja Vu tap delay. It seems to say it has bucket brigade, so it's digital and analog with a blend and the ratio for the tap looks pretty cool too. I bet it's not very long though

Zvex takes a knocking, but some of his effects have changed the way people think about guitar playing.

At least nobody will be able to sell it without being caught out, I wish someone near me had it so I could get the pretty hansome reward.
