New, updated pictures on page 7! Take a look there!
I thought, hey, everyone gets a new bass day, or first bass day, so why shouldnt I deserve a completed, first, and new pedalboard day. This was a project between me and my pops. I bought all of the pedals myself, and he bought pedalboard material.
My grandpa, which some of you may have read my OT thread about him breaking his neck, needed a tinkering project, so he put the board itself together.
I wanted something different. It may not be perfect but its all home made and was SUPER cheap compared to a ,say, Pedaltrain.
I plan on getting more pedals, and upgrading the size of my board in the future. This works for now, and the effort that went into it makes it all the better.
I dont have a loop selector as of now, so its all one loop. All held on with industrial strength velcro.
And now for the pics! I have been waiting, and saving, for about 3 months and I finally get to show it off.
Just some straight up vanity shots:
And as you can see, the entire board is plexiglass, excluding the metal frame I chose to give it an industrial look, bolts included.
And this is my darkness shot.. its pretty sad, as my board isnt too colorful, but I dont play in the dark so its all good!
I would like to thank all of the Effects forum, RCCollins for all of his help on selecting my pedals, and everyone I bought pedals from.
Its been a long and expensive process, but its just the beginning. Thanks for checking it out, hope its cool I made my own thread.

| | | | Congratulations man. I think that board looks really classy. Tell the old man he has a fan of his work. The transparency of it really really makes it with the metal on the top. I would probably buy one of these when I get enough effects, albeit a much larger version of what you have. I enjoy looking at that, and I really hope you enjoy having it. Thanks for showing it off =).

Scott | Ill be sure to tell him!
Whats funny is, I spent around $300 on my pedals. He spent about $15 on the supplies, yet his work makes the board so good looking..

Trying to think of something totally different was, by far, the hardest part.

I got this freaking thing done, plugged it in, then got totally shot down by a wall of fuzz. It should be resolved, I contacted GK.
Im still happy about my pedalboard! Now, with my Jazz bass, I can say I love my PB n' J!

How does the stiffness of the plexiglass hold up? Does it bend at all when you step on it? |

I'm pretty sure you can squeeze another couple pedals on there, too. A Nano Stone could certainly fit, and maybe even something else eventually once you get yourself some pancake-headed patch cables
if the plexiglass flexes too much, a simple support under the middle will probably do the trick
and hey, thanks for the shout-out, you made my day! |

The plexiglass is okay. Its sturdy enough for me, by far, but someone who was a hard presser of weighed a great deal may have trouble with it. Quote:

And as I said, the plexi is fine for me, but others may have a bit of trouble.
I plan to put a Nano Stone, a DD-3, Kork PB, and some kind of EQ and compressor. And if the board is too small then, Ill make a new one. Only a $15 investment.
