Need advice - How to connect my pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
I have not experience with effects, but three months ago I decided to try some pedals so I got an EH sould preacher compressor and a boss chorus pedal, I was not impressed with the boss and thought that effects are just not for me, however this weekend I opted for giving myself a second chance so I got two new pedals:

A Sadowsky pre-amp outboard and a Carl Martin Bass Chorus, my question is:
how should I connect these three pedals? We have the aviom system at our church and I am not sure if my pedals can add an improve to my sound, I play a Lakland DJ , Fender P and SR HH. I play contemporary workship music: Hillsong, Paul Baloche etc .

I did some research and looks like I should go for:

Bass - Compressor - Chorus - Pre amp - Aviom DI - Mixer

Or you can do the following:

Bass - Pre amp - Compressor - Chorus - Aviom DI - Mixer

I've had good experiences by compressing the pre-amp signal. The chorus may work best when not compressed, but do what sounds best. I think you're pedals will sound good either way.
