Hi guys !

Ok,
i need an overdrive but i dont know what to choose...
i was looking for an EBS ValveDrive. Can i ask you your advise about it? Is it a nice pedal (Price/Quality)?
Is there some nice effect you can tell me?

I am playing on Ashdown MAG 300 with 4*10 deep cabinet and Musicman Bongo 4.

Thanks !

I have no experience with the EBS, but I'll come in before the "do a search" police and say if you want a good start in drive pedals for bass you will havve difficulty going wrong with a Digitech Bad Monkey.

Drive pedals are very personal, but if you look around you'll find a lot of bad monkey recommendations. You can spend a lot more, and maybe get something that works better for you, but for starters...
The Bad Monkey has rock-solid construction, good OD, EQ means you don't lose bass nearly as much as you do with most tubescreamer clones, it's all there for very little money. The price is great/quality is very good!

Yep, the Bad Monkey is nice... I have one, but I now prefer another one and the rgeat news is it's even cheaper: Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive.
If you're looking for metal distortion.... stop reading and go away. But if you want a mild overdrive, this is great. At lowest gain it does... nothing. You can use it at minimal gain, treble/bass controls at zero, and you have a nice clean boost. Then add some drive... little by little you start getting some fat "grit" in your sound. It sounds great. And for guitar is really cool too.

I am keeping my Bad Monkey, but I much prefer the Danelectro.
