Need a DI 2ch one OUT please help !!

Hi ! Im new here so I would start by saying thanks to all of the people that ever posted something here. I always have found many answers reading this forum.

Now I need some help from you folks !.

Im seeking a solution for my live set. I play a Stingray 5 and an upright with fishman fullcircle, which goes to a GK mb150 e combo + 4x10 Hughes & Kettner.

Iīve been searching for a DI that can mix 2 channels into 1 balanced output. I dream of a Avalon U5 but thatīs for one channel only, anyhow thats just a dream by now.

The Radial Bassbone (http://www.tonebone.com/tb-bassbone.htm)
seems to sum up and cover all of my needs. It has two ch input + EQ for ch 2, input toggle that seems nice and handy and the assure by the manufacter that it has the quality of any other Radial DI.

So far so great ! I started to love this thing, but then I looked for some reviews... many of them states poor pre quality, lots of noise and bad overall sound.
Is this real ? I want to know if this thing is so bad as many states.

Is there any similar solution for this ? What other thing could you recommend me ? I wish there was a Sansamp with 2 inputs...
Forgot to mention... I only have $300 to spend !!.

Many many thanks !
Javier.-

No issues with mine.

Remember, the Bassbone is not a preamp. I think a lot of people have tried to use it as a preamp and found it lacking in that respect.

To be clear, are you looking to mix/combine the two channels, or to switch between two channels?

The Sansamp Deluxe and EBS Microbass are two options worth researching. If you happen to be in Japan, Crews Maniac makes one as well. If you were willing to have the DI portion be a separate box, there are several very good A/B switchers out there that don't have a DI built in.

EBS Microbass looks awesome, but exceeds my already exceeded budget !.
An a/b switcher would be a good option, but I would try to go for the DI. Only thing i dont like about the sansamp deluxe is the lack of XLR out... rather than that, is it as good as the Bass Driver ?

Note the XLR out.

I had the toned down Programmable BDDI and I thought it was a great tool. It's supposed to be an SVT or tube emulator and the three channels give you a lot of versatility in tone, from a warm clean sound to some hard OD tones and a little in between. I never hear any complaints about the DI.

People complain about it's mid scoop, but it's more of a lack of Mid control knob. The Mid frequencies are fixed and you move the Bass and Treble in relation to the mid hump (or scoop) that you desire.

Don't feel that way, the Tech 21 website isn't very explicit about whether or not it had a DI.

There are a lot of features on that box,....FX Loop, DI,....I'm considering one myself.

EDIT: HMMM, Re-Reading your. I can't comment on how it will handle an upright bass as far as sound goes? I imagine you can setup on of the channels to have a good sound through it. I'd through a noise gate or feedback reducer and perhaps a Fishman EQ in series with your DB just for good measure. YMMV.

Iīve read that the blend knob can handle the ammount of "personality" the sansamp adds to the sound. If with the upright channel i can kill the colour it provides and only use it as a DI, that would be more than great.

I think everything points to this unit. In the future... would add the Avalon u5 !!! lets hope, not too long !!.

Thanks all for your comments !
