Need help choosing a pedal
I am having a hard time choosing a pedal for my set up. Not so much for the sound (I've seen the demos) but rather for the lack of availability to me from the music stores around me.
I am looking at the new Pigtronix Envelope Phaser and the MXR Envelope Filter pedals.
They both sound good but i am having a hard time locating the Pigtronix to test out. Most of the stores can get it in for purchase but I'd like to fool around with it first to see what sounds i can get from it before purchase.
I know in music it's always your personal preference but i trust this board and all the great musician on here as to what sounds best and is worth the money.
If there are any other pedals fitting around the same type of sound, please feel free to list them.
Thanks in Advance.
This is whats gonna happen - everybody on TB is gonna go listing millions of pedals to try out, and will lead to even more of a difficulty in choosing a pedal. My advice is to just get what sounds good, at least as well as is availiable to you, and what is affordable. I mean, you're not marrying the thing. It is a pedal. Simple as that.
My local store lets me return a pedal if I'm not happy with it. I've returned a few but I've kept many. Have you asked if yours will do the same?
Thanks for the replies.
I guess what i was asking was out of those 2 bass pedals which one would be a better pedal for the money.
Well one is an envelope phaser and other is a filter. Choose based on the tone. One thing though, pigtronix takes 18V which IMO is a hassle and a total turnoff for me.
