Need help choosing a PT

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to buy a Pedaltrain, but I don't know which size I should get. The pedalboard planner on the PT webste is c*** so I'm seeking for professional advice from TB's effect junkies. My chain goes:
Korg Pitchblack-->Boss ODB-3-->Woolly Mammoth clone (horizontal layout, just like the original but a bit bigger)-->Tech 21 Leeds-->Subdecay Prometheus-->EBS DPhaser-->Catalinbread Semaphore-->Malekko 616-->Ernie Ball volume pedal (at first I planned to leave this one outside the board, but I'm not so sure right now...)--->Amp

EDIT: oh, I don't know if it matters, but I use a Harley Benton power supply http://www.thomann.de/es/harley_benton_powerplant.htm
EDIT 2: I'm going to keep the volume pedal outside the board, so bear that in mind when making your recomendations.

You'll have to go PT-2 if you want to fit that volume pedal. You may not fill all of it super packed but it will leave you room to maneuver and get more pedals.

I think I can live with the volume pedal outside of the board. Which size would you recommend then? I really don't need extra space for future pedals because I'm quite happy with my current setup.

Being an effects junkie, I recommend the PT-PRO. Even with that I have 2 wahs and a whammy on the floor....

I had to change my entire thought process on pedals, and to accommodate my five pedal limit, I had to get at least a Pedaltrain-1. It also helped that my Pedaltrain-1, as with all Pedaltrain-1s, was/were available at Guitar Center. It works pretty well, especially with the new Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus that I haven't used yet.

PT-2, if not a pro. the pro is reallly big, so if you like a bit of space between your pedals, definitely go that route. But, you won't have a problem fitting all those onto the PT-2, especially if the VP is going to stay outside. For a bit of a reference, you could definitely fit a VP and about 10 Boss-sized pedals on a PT-2.
your power you can attach underneath with the hardware that comes with the PT.
