Need help figuring out SansAmp RBI

I'm interested in getting one but already have a Sans DI.

Reading the reviews of the RBI, I came across several that mentioned bypassing their amp's EQs/preamps and using the RBI instead.

I have a GK 1001RB-II, would I be able to do that? And if so, how so?

What you could do is put the RBI in your effect loop and set your GK's EQ flat and use the EQ on the RBI and just leave the RBI on all the time.

personally I'd take advantage of the GK's eq and just use the RBI as an overdrive
