Hi everyone! I play in a reggae band and I am looking for a good pedal that gives me that really deep kind of dark voodoo sound and anything else i might need for reggae lines!

Thanks guys!

The DOD FX25B, with sensitivity at 0, has a pretty good dub sound, if that's what you're looking for. The original FX25 is also good, but for that specific tone, IMO the FX25B is a little better.

Devi Ever Dark Boost or a EHX mole or Hogs foot [same thing different packaging over the years] will work too.

an active eq either on your amp or in pedal form. max the lowest knob and lower the rest. the get some foam and tuck it right next to your bridge. makes it very upright, non sustaining like.

Have you tried some phaser? Might sound pretty good. Can get some good auto-wah/synth-like sounds from one as well depending on the model. A Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion might sound pretty cool if set properly.

Also, might consider a VT Bass, with the character control all the way down, for a fat dub/reggae sound. Especially if you're not using a tube amp.

No compressor. Bass and mid boost, pull back on treble. And a modest amount of delay.

In the end, no rules...if it sounds good...it's good!!
