need help with my flanger

so i bought a bf-3 but i cant get around understand what the knobs do really. and any idea on what settings i can get flanging like in this clip here on the boss site itself?

standard mode, rate around 9 o clock and depth around 2 or 3 o clock

try that with the res/man both at 12 and adjust from there

thanks i am trying to work around it. it sounds good but something is missing here its not impressive

I'm personally more of a fan of the older BF-2 with bass guitar. Give that a shot and see if it's easier.

try plugging into the guitar input rather then the bass input. I found it way more useful.

yeah am going through the guitar input anyway am starting to get some decent sounds

Are you using the flanger by itself, or with other pedals? If you're looking for that swishy sound, you're not going to find much of it with a clean bass tone until you work your way up the neck. Treble + Dirt = Lots of swishy, like the video.

W/flangers, I've found that I like this one- that one, not so much. Specifically, I very much like the old DOD FX-72b I recently got, as well as an FX-75c I had long ago; didn't care much for the Boss High-Band Flanger I had awhile back. Just not my sound. Maybe you need to try another..?
