Need one more pedal to complete my board - suggestions?

Sign in to disble this ad
I play modern alt. rock, our influences are largely Brit rock (Muse, Biffy Clyro, Placebo). My tonal influences are mainly Tool, Muse etc.

I bought a PT-JR and currently on it I have:

TU-2
LMB-3
BF-2
VT Deluxe

On the way I have a Gnomeratron, and I took off the Super Synth because it isn't being used and although I love it, I can't seem to find a way to incorporate it into my band at the moment.

I have currently off my board:

Bass Synth Wah
DD-3
LS-2
CEB-3
Super Synth

Today I recorded using a black Big Muff and loved it, but I'm thinking the Gnomeratron will cover all my fuzz needs by the reviews I'm reading.

I have space for another pedal and don't know what to get. I was looking at a Carbon Copy or a tremolo pedal but I can't decide if I want something completely different.

So, TB, I put it to you. Suggestions please

If you don't know what to get you don't need it.

I kinda have an idea but I'm really just getting a bit overwhelmed with all that is out there. The more I look the more confused I get. And I'm really just GASing for another pedal...

my bias says to either get a true octaver like a OC-2 or to get an envelope filter thats not too wet and with a decent set of parameters like a 3L groove regulator

i have the carbon copy delay and I love it.
it's a very "dirty" delay, though ... if you like crystal clear repeats might not be you cup of tea

cheers!

Thanks for the suggestions guys

I've got the DD-3 and I've ended up lending it to our singer/guitarist because it's too clear, I find it hard to put into a proper application. The carbon copy definitely sounds like something I could use though.

I've also been looking at getting an OC-2 but I probably need to play around on the same singer/guitarist's OC-3 a bit to see if it is something I'll use. Just been so busy!

Thought about a phaser and was pretty keen on getting one of the BYOC for a while but I'm thinking it could be too similar to the BF-2. Yeah?

3L Groove Regulator is something I've never ever considered, or even heard how it sounds so thanks for that one, I'll check it out on youtube shortly

And our drummer recently bought a theremin on ebay...
