Need a Pedal Board

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,
I'm looking for a pedal board for my effects. Need something big enough for 6-8 pedals that preferrably has a case, is rugged, and won't break the bank. Ideas? Advice?

I tried searching this forum but couldn't find an old thread.

Thanks,
Dustin

PedalTrain Junior or 1 sounds about right depending on the size of your pedals.

Seconded. Also, you can get an idea of how much space your pedals will take by going to pedalboardplanner.com

I really like my LYT F16 nice size and the shelf makes the back row easy to reach, available with either a soft or roadworthy case.

1spot.

I was worried about it being too cheap...so I got a Voodoo Labs ISO 5 to A/B test next to it. The 1spot held up. Doesn't make any noticable noise whatsoever and I am really picky about my sound.

Depends on the pedals. 1 Spot will probably do the job if all you have are 9v. If you have pedals with other power requirements there are other power supplies that would be more appropriate.

There's Behringer pb that can hold up to 10-12 pedals I think. I've never tried it, but HC reviews are decent. I have the Boss BCB-60 and went back to it after hauling a pedaltrain pro for a few months. I ripped pretty much everything out of it and stuck velcro at the bottom and I've had it hold up to 8 Boss-type pedals. Keeps me happy.

Pedaltrain w/ Voodoo is what I went with... 1+ years... no issues at all.

I use a TRex Fuel Tank Jr. ($99) to power mine. There is also the TRex Chameleon ($149) which has just dropped $50 in price and is a great deal. You need to figure out what your power needs are (like the voltage of your pedals and their power draw - measured in mA) and get the power source that best fits your needs. Both can easily be Velcro'ed to the underside of the Pedaltrains or you can get the brackets that Pedaltrain sells to fasten them in. The brackets for the Voodoo PP2+ (and a few other brands) come with it for free though. To be honest, I used 3M Dual-Lock to install my Fuel Tank Jr to the underside and it holds it like cement. Also, the Pedaltrain comes with either a soft case (cheapest option but a very well-made and durable case) or a more expensive ATA-approved metal case that you can check on a flight or if you need really hard-core protection. Personally, I'm Pedaltrain fan. Great design, well-built and light.
