Question need some advice for effects...

i have 2 effects at the moment (00 funk mark II and big muff) for my band and i am looking to to buy 1 more extra effect in my line up or even two.

i love the synthy sounds i can get with the 00 funk and the big muff together and they work so well in my band.

Should i get an octave pedal? i was reading a post where people say that it fills in room for the band. this would be perfect because some parts of our songs my bass just sounds like it should go lower.

also should i sell my big muff and buy a messdrive or a messdrive hybrid + or a bass big muff. I just think that the big muff cuts out to much of the low end.

what other pedal would you recommend for me to get in my three piece band?

thanks.

I've got an octave pedal that I love using. It does help fill up some space in a three piece band. Chorus pedals work really well for that as well. I also really like using flangers when "something's missing".

I would say sell the big muff and if you have the money get a messdrive hybrid because from what Ive heard its awesome, otherwise get a bass big muff i tried one the other day its a big improvement from the US muff

I've never played a Big Muff Pi but I have a Hybrid+ and GGG-tuned Big Muff and they are both fantastic and maintain the fundamental well (especially the Hybrid+).

An octave (down) is great with distortion and a filter. The 3 together will give you more crazy synth sounds. Also, any modulation effect would "jazz up" your set up. Chorus, phaser, flanger, or something that does all 3. You're on the right track.
