I currently have a 105 Q and owned a Boss AW3 for about 24 hours.
The more I tweaked the AW3, the more I got put off by it. IMO, sounded too artificial or... too synthy. I was starting my trek in filter/wah lalaland at the time and didn't have a full grasp on it (still don't, but know a little more) and since I'm a Boss fan, I figured it was a good place to start. But that's just me, there are lots of guys around here who own and love the pedal. Since then I've bought other filters, including a DIgitech BSW which I'm discovering more and more, but it's not my main filter.
As for the 105 Q, bought one a month ago. Absolutely love it and get good funk out of it. I don't rock the pedal as much as set it to get specific tones. But when I rock it, I get some good quacks out of it. Works for me.
