need suggestions for board completion

Sign in to disble this ad
well after abusing on effects like crazy and then realising that a board with 15+ pedals on it was both unmovable and unusable live, I forced myself to buy a PT-JR and work from this size as a basis.

so after many trials and errors, I think I am more or less setup on half of it. but the other half looks quite empty now..

however.. I spent so much time focusing on how to downgrade and reduce the quantity of pedals, I dont know what to add anymore

I am set on the distortion side, that is for sure. the analogman chorus is perfect as well. Maybe I need something for modulation that could serve like a phaser/flanger/murf at the same time. and a delay? but which ones? I got a headrush lying around, but I dont need something that big just to do tap tempo delay.. plus I need its looping capabilities for other stuff, so I dont really want to put it on the board.

I want stuff that is musically useable in a band context, and practically usable live easily.. so nothing that needs a lot of knob fiddling.

Hope you guys can come up with a few ideas

How about a nice octaver? Then, install a drink-holder and you're done!!!

IMHO there's an obvious choice that'll do everything you want: the Electro Harmonix Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai. It'll do everything the Headrush can do. It's got tap-tempo delay and very good looping. It'll do all the modulation you want too. It can certainly do chorus and flange as well as something approaching phasing. It's got presets to recall easily your settings in a live situation and is simple to use. Sounds like exactly what you're after.

I got a Boss OC-2 somewhere here, but I never found any use for that.. and I dont like its analog muddiness.. got a pog, much funnier, but useless with the band as well..

I'll give the ehx smm a look then
