Well I have $100 worth of GC giftcards from Christmas, and I'm trying to figure out what I should spend them on.
So far my ideas are:
EHX Soul Preacher Nano
BBE Opto Stomp
MXR M-80
Put it towards a bigger board (current board is a bit undersized)
Shure SM57 or 58
Other?

thats what i gots ta say |

Mics are very useful, but not as fun as pedals. Everyone needs an SM57 or 58 in their toolkit, so I guess just decide what you actually need more. |

There are probably no sound clips that really do it justice because the effect it has on your sound is rather subtle (when used correctly). It is an addictive improvement to your sound...
I recently forgot mine at a local gig and actually drove home during set break to get it. Second set my sound was vastly improved- cut through the mix better, more punch, more clarity, a little boost to the low end. This is where the pedal really shines for me- in a live sound application. If you play live, run your bass through this pedal before your amp input, not in an effects loop, that way it will go into the DI output, improving your sound in the mix... |
