Needing some help...

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to build a tube pre based on the pre amp section of an Ampeg V4b. My problem is that I don't quite know how one would hook up power to that. Is there a really small xformer that would give me the voltages needed to power a handful of 12xx7's? And then where does the signal go? A little ot? I've done a tone of reading on building tube amps and have a project on the bench right now just waiting for some parts, but when doing just a pre, I'm lost... The schematic I'm using can be seen @ http://www.freeinfosociety.com/elect...view.php?id=47

Thanks in advance guys!

This might be better suited for the Amps forum, I think.
