Have had several adventures with plastic in the last week, mostly stemming from the acquisition of this item: Pickmaster Plectrum Punch - Gadgets - Clickshop.Com - Gifts & Gadgets, Memory Cards
So I make a few plectrums out of old credit cards and such, a bit of sanding with an emery board and they are good to go.
Today is pedalboard refurbishment day. My new pedal board is made of wood slats (like the Gorm shelf idea) and I am using library cards and credit cards to make little lugs that fit to the pedals and screw onto the board. Voila. They stay firmly on.
See Pics.
For the moment the EB Jr is on hook and loop as it does not have screws in the bottom, thinking of drilling some holes but maybe not.

| | | | That is an excellent idea for holding pedals on. Those cards are pretty strong, and easier to cut than metal. |

It says you can punch plastic up to 0.9mm well I use a 2.0mm pick so I dunno... besides, I don't have any old credit cards or gift cards, what else can I use?

I'll bet other stores would be happy to give you their trash as well.
Cool device! Love the pedal fixing idea. Looks way easier to deal with than bike chain, especially when considering oddly places screws or screws of varying diameters. |

I think gift cards will be slippery when your fingers get sweaty... maybe more of a novelty than something practical?

I could have been tidier, and spent time to cut out nice shapes or use a uniform coloured plastic card, but I wanted to see how it would work. It works very well, preserves the pedal undersides
and is sturdier than velcro - though I still use velcro under the EB pedal. Need to find a fix for that.

Here's one straight out of the punch. It sounds better than VISA or Mastercard.
