| | | | Demo sounds good, but I'll second what insomniac has said about that footswitch being way too close to the knobs.
A rare misstep by Ashdown, who's usually pretty spot on with their designs. |

To each his own, I guess |

The VU meter might be cool - but it was rarely accurate and it's not as if the audience saw it and were impressed. The cases for them were far too big to. I can understand if you had 2 or 3 foot switches on them, but not for just one switch. Complete waste of valuable pedal board space.
I'd rather have a pedal that was practical any day over once that looked 'cool'.

The only reason it was included on the pedals was because Ashdown amps had a VU meter as part of their trademark "look". Branding, nothing more, like a Nike swoosh. |

| | | Can we get back on point and criticize the new pedals instead of the old ones? |

| | | | i think the knobs need to be move towards the switch because of the top jack

| | | | From the above photo it appears that they will be marketed as "kind of like" handmade boutique pedals but will probably be mass produced in China. Sadly Ashdown has become more of a branding and marketing company than the dedicated amp designers and builders that they were. |

Branding, nothing more, like a Nike swoosh. | Clearly they are a great TUBE amp company, but why they even bothered to venture into the pedal line up is beyond me. The product and marketing managers should have been fired after their first attempt at oversized pedals with useless UV meters. Now the re-design Mr. Green line isn't stage right either. Seriously just stop already. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
