also, i'm not sure what Boss is trying to do here. No one bought their other Multi-FX units, who's gonna buy this one? |

I would agree. I have a nice pedal collection, but sometimes, bringing a multi to the gig is simpler.
But then again, I may be off the mark here...

Wait... that doesn't make any sense. Solar... poorly lit bar...
On a more serious note, the GT-6B does have its fans here. I'm sure this will, too. Seems to be an improvement on their older models, and it seems to be competing directly against Line 6...

Whenever I try multifx I can never get the hang of how each control inter-acts. And I hate reading manuals!!

| | | | The continuing problem I have with multis is that sounds change depending on venue, room, volume, band, etc. I could make the meanest, coolest sound preset in my bedroom on my amp, and then once I get to a live venue, it could sound like garbage.
Then, getting in and tweaking the preset is a lot more complicated than turning a knob or two on the pedal that is causing the problem.
Example: I have an analogman chorus with deep switch mod. Practicing at home, I had the lushest, coolest chorus I had ever heard. Went to band practice the next mornign before church, turned my amp up, started playing a song, and flicked on the chorus. All of the sudden, instant mush. Not only did I get lost, but at the same time muddied up the band. Bent down, flicked a switch, backed off the knobs a little, and all good to go within a few lines of the song. Try that with a preset multi.
But then again, if you can consistently get "your sound" out of a multi, more power to you! They just aren't for me...especially ones that are preset driven. |

Amazing! |
