I don't know if it's ok to post this here, but since it was recorded to illustrate different sounds I came up with using effects, I figured this was the place it would get the most interest. If Mods disagree, then I apologize and feel free to move it. I recorded this late last night gettin a little creepy in the lab.

Sound-wise, the bass part is OC-2 running into an Iron Ether Xerograph deluxe set to static low pass filter. Very deep, you probably won't hear it unless you listen with good speakers or headphones. The middle part is: Iron Ether Oxide (gated)>Line 6 M5 opto trem tap tempo>Xerograph (envelope downsweep). The top part is very noodly and obviously improvised, but it was fun so it is what it is. Oxide (gated)>M5 pitch glide +12>Xerograph dlx envelope up. I can provide exact settings if anybody is interested, but they are very dependent on my technique and how my bass is set.

I hope it is as much fun to listen to as it was to record, and as always, I am open to constructive criticism and comments.

-M

I'm loving the low sections of this track... Really doesn't help the GAS I have for a Xero Deluxe and an M5

Thanks!!! I (admittedly) got a little silly on that top part!!! The amount of versatility in both of those pedals is amazing individually. Together? Kinda unbelievable...

Thank you for the great compliment, Doug. In the same vein, it is refreshing to have guys like you not only making awesome pedals for us to use, but being accessible and supportive of the community. The B3K is on my short list of pedals that I will own very soon!!!

that looooow stuff in the beginning is SICK. i love it. I really dig the use of the trem towards the end. What you think about that m5 for bass? worth it? I'm not quite sure how I feel about it just quite yet.

Really digging this jam though. It just grooves so smooth.

Thanks, man! I really the M5 for what I use it for. Pitch shifting, detuning effects, some reverbs, and the trems are actually really good. The stuff that doesn't sound great is a lot better when used with a clean blend from a looper or blend pedal. The one thing that makes me happy is how well it plays with my other pedals. It is definitely worth a shot to see if you can get some usefulness out of it.

That sounds great man! I've been looking at Iron Ether (all of their pedals) for a while. I haven't gotten any yet though. I don't what to get first.

I'm a fellow Pittsburgher as well.

M Sterling, I know I sound like a broken record but MAN! I love your playing! Your IE children are killer.

I've just now been watching some Digital videos linked to through your sig and I absolutely love it. Keep it up forever.

Thanks a lot, man! The Xerograph and Oxide play so well together, it is hard to pick which one to go with first. If you like fuzz, then the Oxide is hard to beat. The range that the morph knob covers is amazing and it is very interactive with the drive knob. The Xero deluxe is unlike any filter I've tried (a bunch!). It manages to be extremely versatile while maintaining quality of sound in every mode. If you ever wanna check them out in person, shoot me a PM, we'll see what we can do since we're in the same city

Thanks, Dan! Right back at ya!

Sweet!!! That band is one of the main reasons I started getting into pedals more seriously than just having a multi to handle little stuff. I remember the look on those guys faces when they heard the IE pedals together for the first time...priceless. Can't wait to get my FrantaBit in action, it's gonna get silly reaaaal quick!
