A new convert to the temple of the mighty OC-2...

Finally managed to get my hands on an OC-2 on Monday. Played around with it Monday evening, thought that it sounded decent. Took it into the studio on Tuesday and Wednesday. Recorded the clean stuff, so it was just sitting around. Decided to lay down the synth bass parts, and it just astounded me. Lovely synthy goodness when it was run into my BSW, my LBM, my DS-1, and various combinations of the three. Can't wait to hear how it sounds when the rest of the album is recorded.

On a side note, I don't understand the complaints people have made about the tracking - I was very impressed by the tracking (speed-wise). I think some of you are just doing it wrong.

I just got one last week and couldnt be happier. The tracking only gets bad around the really low notes but for me when it glitches out like that I actually like how it sounds.

My OC-2 tracked very well. Probably as well as my Octamizer.

I probably would have kept the OC-2 but the Octamizer has a bit more in the way of EQ and blend possibilities.

I suspect a lot of tracking problems people have may be technique-related. I like my OC-2; I can get it to track pretty well all the way down to open E.
