A new Demeter compulator?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

Apparently there's a new version of the compulator?

I did a search but came up with squat.

What's the word on these?

Wow. Looks pretty ace.

Unfortunately for Demeter, if I'll be replacing the COMP-1 with anything, it will be an FEA Labs creation.

Looks like they replaced the gain trimpot with a switch. Not so sure I'd like that, I prefer to dial it in to match the instrument I'm playing with.

I'd been eying that up the other day. I really like the idea of an attack control, and decay might be good to mess with too.

It still has the gain trimpot- the switch just activates it. It's more functional that way as you can either always leave it on or use it as a boost.

I'm interested in this for sure- I've owned two Compulators in the past and really liked them for their limiting capability, but they were very subtle. I'm curious if this'll do thick squash in addition to subtle limiting.

Ya gotta love the auction title as well. It's as if the seller was seriously banking on people searching eBay for "awesome compressor"

Pfft, why is the trimpot not a knob?! Plenty of room for it and having control over the threshold is much more useful than an adjustable attack & release!
