New Digitech Whammy on the horizon?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

I'm trying to get my grubby little fingers on an Octavius Squeezer, so I'm trying to sell off the pedals which will be made redundant by it (Devi Ever KF, BargeConcepts VB-jr.).

I was also thinking about selling off my XP-100 because that would fetch me about $200 (in Denmark). My reasoning for this is that by the end of the summer I would just get the modded Molten Voltage whammy.

But this led me on to thinking about a new Digitech Whammy - is there anything on the horizon? I remember reading a few posts here by people close to Digitech that they are very satisfied with the current Whammy, that it wouldn't be changing any time soon. Anyone want to comment on that? Defy it? Deny it?

Thanks,
Chris

The current (red) model is doing well for digitech, so I don't think they're about to replace it. no bass whammy either for that matter, I think digitech are still making money off them since people go to the current whammy rather than shell out the cash for a used bass whammy...

too bad... a bass whammy isn't hard to make when they already have the materials needed for it!!!

Actually, the Canadian company that made the chip for the Bass whammy isn't working for Digitech anymore. I believe..

But it is true that there isn't any for-seen plans for a new whammy. They just announced a super delay at NAMM. DL4 competition.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just make do with the Molten Voltage modifications.
