From BassEFX:

"Billy Sheehan and EBS are unleashing a new signature pedal at this year's NAMM show. It's going to have an initial run of only 100 units, then it will be gone for some time."

Was this pedal designed to function with one amp and cabinet or will it require require two amps/cabinets, one clean, one dirty, to operate properly?

Just one amp will be fine. This pedal essentially replicates billy's 'high' rig (from the split P pickup) that is two channel. The woofer pickup goes to a separate amp for clean lows. He essentially has 3 signals in his distorted tone.

However, for bassists that don't have a 2 output bass, this pedal will be fine as well, you still have a blend of clean and dirt going into one amp - you could even stick an eq in the dirty side to roll of the low end and bump the mids, whilst retaining a full range clean tone to get close to his tone.

Apparently this isn't quite true. It's just the initial US distribution. There will be plenty around to buy.

How would you describe the exact advantage to normal distorsions with ordinary blend knob?

Any one know of any German dealers taking preorders? ,-)

Sounds pretty good but based on the video my Tubescreamer that I got for $70 pulls off the same sound (or really darn similar). I'd have to try before I buy...always looking for good different sounding overdrives though.

I am very interested in this one. A question though: do you guys think that it is possible to use the clean loop send/return as an input? I use a Yamaha Attitude 3 , and it would be great to rout the P-pickup to the drive section and have the neck woofer pickup pass through unaffected with the clean loop input, and then mix them to the one output of the pedal.

Not sure, the effects loops use TRS (stereo) connectors. If the the return isn't on the ring portion of the connector, it might work, or it might break the signal completely.

It too plan on getting one to use with my Attitude. I will just continue to use my Boss LS-2 to mix the separate pickup signals. Besides, I want to put other stuff in the clean fx loop!

bass

Just put in an order. I've been missing my sheehan modded pearce, but just the od channel. Now I can have it back without hauling the rack around. Pretty cool that if you have an attitude bass and a few pedals, you can pretty much get sheehan's sound without the pile of amps. Im loving it!

So one of these popped up here used in the FS section last night and disappeared in a hot minute. So that means they're out there. Anyone else get theirs yet?
