Couldn't decide between a Murf and a Bass Murf? Wish you could play the filters and make your own sequences? Ever wonder what a MIDI controllable Murf could do? Well here ya go!

if you think of them as stompboxes, they are massive and high-priced, with one of the worst bypasses EVER

if you look at them as modular synth components, they are VERY fairly priced

except maybe for that dealy

ouch! *checks prices on recently sold Bass Murfs in classifieds* The Bass Murf + MP201 gets me most of the way there, but the MIDI connection will be useful to me as well.

Well apparently you don't do a lot of recording with a bunch of synths, drum machines and other equipment all sync'd via midi. Up till now, I would have to get everything else sync'd, then listen to the monitor and tap in the tempo as best I could. Now I can just plug it into the midi chain. My Bass Murf will be going up for sale shortly.

I don't do a lot of recording where I need a synced filter sequence, no, but if I did I'd put out an envelope signal from the sequencer to my filter, although yeah arguable MIDI would be useful.

Frankly I think the need to do these kinds of things in sync in the studio is rare enough not to need a dedicated pedal for it. Certainly not the sort of thing I'm going to lust after.

does the moog software suite not have a murf emulator? i cant find that information online, so im not sure, but i would think that would be preferential to the pedal. i will have to snag that and see.

other than that, i totally wish my murf had midi capabilities. my grand scheme includes a fair amount of midi cabling on what will be a jumbo-sized board, so mine may go up for sale in a couple months when i have cash to burn.

neat addition. way to go moog. to echo many: just get rid of that garbage bypass...

...so anyone wanna buy a bass MuRF?

Programmable patterns sold me, and if I can use midi to help me nail the tempo I need/want, I'm sooooo sold. (combining it with a little phatty would be pretty sweet, too...)
