hi guys.
I just joined the Bass forum. Nice place.

I would like to get an envelope filter in my pedalboard to spice up a bit my sounds.
There is someone locally offering a EBS BassIQ. Should I get it?

edit: I should have edited the thread title... ok, but I'm new here.

Well, that depends on you. If you can get it locally, can you try it out? What sounds are you hoping to get with it/what music are you going to use it for? Is it in your price range? Have you considered any alternatives?

If that falls through or you don't like it or whatever, check out a Source Audio BEF.

I'm after some funky type of sound. The pedal is used, so I can try it out first... and it's on my price range.
I have other altenatives (based on youtube videos), the WMD SuperFatman and the MXR-M82 envelope filter. But these pedals are kinda too expensive.

There's a lot of love for all three and they're all pretty different. *shrug* Try it -- if you like it, get it, if you don't, don't.
