From the guys at Barge Concepts -
"Also in the pipeline is the Barge Concepts Envelope Follower/Triggered Filter - aka The Grinder. This extremely versatile analog filter is based on the Meatball TM design, but with the usual upgrades and improvements you've come to expect from Barge Concepts. We've added buffering to all signal ins and outs, and provided variable gain (up to 10 dB) to the Send path of the effects loop, replaced the op amps in the signal path with our standard low noise, low distortion units, and added an expression control to the blend circuit (yup, THREE expression options!). The circuit board layout is 98% done, and we've already started ordering parts, designing the cosmetics, and laying out the enclosure. At the present time, we're aiming for an official product announcement in mid January, with units shipping late Q1/early Q2. Pricing is still TBD - we know it's going to have to be a chunk more than the bulk of our current product line, but it's also going to be LOTS less than the $700 - $1000 the originals are fetching on the used market. A blue LED has something to do with everything. If we activate enough of them at the same time, we can stop global warming and make Britney Spears hot again. |
