looks from the description that it's based on the CE5.
before Zakk went with Dunlop, that was exactly what he was using.
If this is the case, could be promising with bass.

Sorta like how the Wylde overdrive is an OD-1?

Edit: It's already available at Sam Ash: http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/sto...tegorySA182625 - and it says it has Bucket Brigade Circuitry, i.e., Analog Chorus. For $99... maybe it is quieter than the damn EHX Clone Theory!

That's totally what I meant. I have that pedal and I forgot what it was called. What a douchebag. And I also have the MXR too, haha. I suck royally.

zakk uses a DS-1, regardless of what his signature pedal is based off of. he doesnt use it. doesnt use his sig amp either. had them put his jcm800 in a shiny new chassis with a bullseye on it

I just replaced my EBS UniChorus with the MXR Black Label Chorus ... is a much more subtle chorus but is EXACTLY what I've been searching for.

Describing sound is always tricky, but compared to my EBS Unichorus, the MXR Black Label Chorus is a deeper, darker and earthier (?!?!) to my ears ...

On it's own, it really fattens the sound nicely. Does NOT add mud at all, just fattens it while retaining clarity. Full spectrum of tone ... no apparent loss of lows. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect for bass. But again, it's subtle. Whacked out drippy gooey tones will not be found with this pedal.

Conversely, it's the type of pedal that I may be tempted to leave on more often than not, and combining it with other pedals is where it really shines. From what I understand, Zakk Wylde helped design it to work in tandem with his distortion - to warm it up a bit. Combined with my EHX Bass Muff , and also the Micro POG, the addition of this chorus is just awesome ... not cool, not trippy, not extreme ... just very musical and the last chorus I'm buying!

I play passive Fenders (both J's and P's). My fave setting is:

Level (blend): Full
Rate: 1 O'Clock
Depth: 2 O'Clock
Low (goes from "cut" to "flat): 1 O'Clock
High(goes from "cut" to "flat): 3 O'Clock

Which one is better? The Black label one or the micro chorus?

They are both great, but i bought the BLC six months ago, i have tried the MC out of interest, but have not even been tempted by anything else since.
If only my drive sounds could be sorted as easily!

Hi there.
Bought the MXR Black Label Chorus a couple of days ago and played several hours.
As has been said, it is a decent chorus, it's less meant for crazy sounds. The loss of lows isn't that important, it can track the low b easily. But still the sound is not to "upfront", not as some bass chorus pedals which are making the sound of the bass IME too artificial.
It's definitely worth a try!

Actual setting:
Low: 5 o'clock
High: 11
Level: 3
Rate: 1
Depth: 12

I own them both. I like the Micro Chorus a lot better on bass.
