Yes, but I think they are operating as a online dealer now.

Bass Emporium closed the physical store, but they are remaining open as an online dealer. I think they were doing the inventory blow out just to make the moving and reorganizing easier.

Unfortunately, I don't think we are gonna get anything til NAMM... this is purely my negative speculation, as I have nothing to base this on.

ON a positive note -- I'm pretty stoked to try/see/hear this new overdrive...

What are the John Francis and Po Po sample settings supposed to be? The last one is The Cure but I can't guess the first two.

Po po is a reference to The Police and John Francis Pastorius III.

Ah, thanks. I thought Police for Po Po but assumed one had to be for Peter Hook and couldn't for the life of me figure the reference. For obvious reason apparently.

Ok first impression I only got about 10 minutes of play time cause the wife has to work tomorrow and wants to go to bed. Another great MXR bass pedal I tried the sample settings first and didn't like them much but like always they are a pretty good starting point. Next I tried to adjust the bass and treble so it wouldn't change the tone of my bass with the pedal on and the other knobs at noon. Then I adjusted the rate intensity and width knobs to see what kind of sounds I could get. The crossover button pretty much cuts off all effect on lower notes the E string up until about the 5th fret had almost no effect that I could hear I left it off after that because I prefer to have the effect all over and also because there was no loss of bass anyway. It actually sounded a little muddy with the way I had the eq set but I started turning up the treble and it started sounding real nice it gave it a nice shimmer. I am not wild about the flanger but the only setting I used was the one in the book and I will be using this for a chorus anyway. Tomorrow I will spend some more time and really tweak out a sound I like but I have to say that this pedal is a keeper and with the adjustability it offers if you are looking for a chorus you should give this one a try.

Sorry to sidetrack the thread, but Santa (my GF) just gave me the MXR M80. Sweet Jebus this thing is nasty! I think I finally nailed the sound for my Ramones cover. Holy crap.
