I preordered the M80 and got it release day, enjoy it man it's a brilliant pedal. I'm an MXR fan and the new ODDS sounds like it should be perfect.

Second impression still not too fond of the flanger mode but that is not a problem cause for me this is strictly a chorus. After getting my bass and treble set to where I like them I have been tweaking the other knobs and I have to say this thing sounds great. Even with the intensity rate and width turned all the way to crazy sounding its still very musical. There are a ton of tones that sound great and I am even liking the x-over now. I recorded a short clip its my rick through the chorus then mxr bass comp then a bddi into garage band. Don't mind the playing I wasn't trying to be perfect and it shows.

Just got my MXR bass chorus deluxe and totally defective! No sound and very loud "pop" when engaging the footswitch. I tried 2 different basses, tested the cords, tried 2 different power supplies, went direct into the amp input, and the effects loop. Snap, crackle and pop. Really disappointing that the factory would let something like this pass through quality control! Sending it back, I hope the next one is ok.

Sounds you got a bad one. I wouldn't put the full blame on quality control at the factory tho. It's an effect and this can happen to any pedal, not just Dunlop pedals. I received mine first off the line and it was fine. In fact, it is great!!

Dunlop has an outstanding warranty and sure they will take care of you.

Good Luck!!

It does happen. I've sold pedals on the forums that left here mint, and gotten to their intended receiver with a broken switch or solder joint. Dunlop's service is one of the best in the business, contact them and they'll fix the situation.

To be fair, it was just some of the dealers that it was shipping out to on that particular day. But it's safe to say that Bass Strings Online now has them!!!

We must also keep in mind that I dont have the sharpest brain out there and the mistake was more than likely on my end, and for this I do apologize.

Oh nothing to apologize about! Just making sure it wasn't a list posted on Dunlops site or something that's all :-)

My non-functioning bass chorus deluxe pedal is on it's way back to the retailer. I just want to report two examples of excellent customer service.

Sounds Cheap Music in Pleasant Hill Mo. (retailer) is paying for the shipping to return the pedal.
MXR/Dunlop - lullbass a TBer works for MXR and was all over the issue with a contact for support.

Kudos to both and thanks.

We may have a demo soon, but I'm not sure when. I'll just leave it at "your cries have been heard!"

Add me to the list of people excited for the OD! I love the sound I get running an ODB into a Bass Muff, but the ODB doesn't seem to have a good always-on overdrive sound in it. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but I definitely wouldn't mind finding an overdrive pedal that actually did solid overdrive.

I'm excited about it too but since I'm out of room it will have to compete for space with the pork loin.Click image for larger version

Wow, nice board 254. Question for you, what do you use the M5 for, since you've got all the MXR pedals as well?

I'm waiting on the OD myself, I also have the Pork Loin, can't wait to try the two side-to-side.

I use the M5 for tremolo, pitch shifting, and some of the other crazy sounds it can make. My band is a trio now and its become my responsibility to fill in sonic space. Stuff like the octoverb that the M5 has work great its like having a string section playing behind my bass parts.

What's the weird swirly colored pedal above the Phase 90? Very cool board.

And I'm also waiting for the OD. The Hardwire CM-2 is under consideration, but I'm definitely waiting until I hear this one before I pull any triggers.
