After getting my bass and treble set to where I like them I have been tweaking the other knobs and I have to say this thing sounds great. Even with the intensity rate and width turned all the way to crazy sounding its still very musical. There are a ton of tones that sound great and I am even liking the x-over now. I recorded a short clip its my rick through the chorus then mxr bass comp then a bddi into garage band. Don't mind the playing I wasn't trying to be perfect and it shows. https://soundcloud.com/254-stringer/...us-deluxe-demo

I tried 2 different basses, tested the cords, tried 2 different power supplies, went direct into the amp input, and the effects loop. Snap, crackle and pop. Really disappointing that the factory would let something like this pass through quality control! Sending it back, I hope the next one is ok.

I wouldn't put the full blame on quality control at the factory tho. It's an effect and this can happen to any pedal, not just Dunlop pedals. I received mine first off the line and it was fine. In fact, it is great!!
Dunlop has an outstanding warranty and sure they will take care of you.
Good Luck!! |

Good Luck!! | It does happen. I've sold pedals on the forums that left here mint, and gotten to their intended receiver with a broken switch or solder joint. Dunlop's service is one of the best in the business, contact them and they'll fix the situation.

Sounds Cheap Music in Pleasant Hill Mo. (retailer) is paying for the shipping to return the pedal.
MXR/Dunlop - lullbass a TBer works for MXR and was all over the issue with a contact for support.
Kudos to both and thanks.

I love the sound I get running an ODB into a Bass Muff, but the ODB doesn't seem to have a good always-on overdrive sound in it. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but I definitely wouldn't mind finding an overdrive pedal that actually did solid overdrive. |

I'm waiting on the OD myself, I also have the Pork Loin, can't wait to try the two side-to-side. |

My band is a trio now and its become my responsibility to fill in sonic space. Stuff like the octoverb that the M5 has work great its like having a string section playing behind my bass parts. |

And I'm also waiting for the OD. The Hardwire CM-2 is under consideration, but I'm definitely waiting until I hear this one before I pull any triggers.
