Just got my bass di today and so far I love it... so far I have only played it through my crappy little practice amp but I can already tell that it is very transparent, which is what I wanted... I'm gonna plug it into my big rig (swr sm900) tomorow if I get a chance, right now it is too late being that I am in an apartment. The real test will be sunday , I've got a church gig with in ear monitors. In ear monitors are the main reason I wanted it, so I will see if it helps like I hoped... I will post more as I go...

I feel like the preamp brings out the best qualities of my amp and pedal chain. I know feelings on the od are mixed, but so far I like it, I actually like it more than my bas bb preamp. The only thing is a seperate eq ore tone knob for the od chanenel would be nice.... this is my third mxr pedal, I want more... hopefully the bass comp will be next. But the big test is still on Sunday...

The clean and distorted tones sounded "seperate" to my ears, and did a good inpression of the two pre-amp set up that Chrisitan Olde Wolbers used in FF. I used it when we did Securitron.

I've gotta do some experimenting with it to see what I can do about it. I'm powering it with a one spot adaptor abd a daisy chain out of mystrobostomp, I might look into getting a brick to power it...

I am running this for sort of modern sounding, it enchances and scoops the sound of the amp, gives it very nice precision and fill. I was sceptical about the distortion after reading lots of negative reviews, but in fact i am using it as a main distortion, and it beats Jekyll&Hyde, DigiBassDriver, PD7 and BigMuff. Cant be happier with this pedal. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
