I've been gassing for one of these for about two years. Juan from The Mars Volta uses one and thats what got me hooked on the souind. Then I got to try one and loved it even more, the panning feature just sounds crazy with a dual amp setup.
I haven't seen anyone else on here with one wither. I know tremolo's aren't useful with bass in many music genres... but this is the FX forum... ?
Regardless, I'm happy.

I'd also like to mention that the panning feature is like the audible version of a strobe light... if that makes any sense.

I was gassing for it, until I learnt about the Gig-FX Chopper. My g#*tarist uses one which we modified to have expression pedal control of the pan/trem speed. Whacky stuff! Enjoy! Looks in great nick!

Hate to thread hijack... but anyone know if the new Boss tremolo pedal is any good for bass? Figure I may as well ask here as start another thread on tremolo.

I've been after something in this vein and the only one I've been advised to look at is an as-yet-unreleased EBS TremoLo pedal. I really want it for bass driven atmospheric interludes and such (thus some low end loss would be okay as the instrumentation is sparser) as opposed to general use, but if it's a bit "meh", I'll probably be better off waiting for the EBS (and selling a kidney). Thanks.

Really amazing stuff. |

I know this is the one a lot of guitar players really love (Joe Bonamassa among others). |

One of the top two trem's I've heard or used, for sheer fatness and sweet throb. Like most tube pedals, it was prone to picking up ambient electrical/magnetic noise, that's the only reason I sold it. But the noise wasn't bad, and if you're used to tube pedals, it's a no-brainer. |

Justin from Tool? He uses a Guyatone VTX (Flip) Tube Tremolo.
If you're talking about Justin-Meldal-Johnson, I don't know if he uses one.
Once I get the thing I'll post some clips.
For now though, Check out the songs "Lost Keys" and Right In Two" from Tool for some Tremolo-on-Bass action.
