I have a B1x that I just keep going back too. Nothing fancy, but for the money its very user friendly and easy to edit your own effects.
I will have a B3 when they start showing up.

Until recently, I just thought they didn't carry them. IDK

The price is @$218 USD. Unfortunately, the checkout process appears to be a mystery to me as my Japanese is lousy I suppose I could use Google translator or something. Jazz, what did shipping cost you (and where are you relative to Japan?). I'd love to get this thing sooner than later as I love my G3. |

They cut me a price at 22,000Y shipping included, whatever it makes in dead president money.
I'm not relative to Japan in any way but Google does wonders. |

Yes I agree with you, my experience is subjective. But I tought we were here to share opinions...
Anyway, I did not want to step on anyone's toes... I had the zoomb2.1u and sold it because it sounded CHEAP. Compared to my other pedals, specially to my other multifxs: digitech bp200, korg ax3000b and boss me-20b. Sterile reverbs, and just general lo-fi feeling. And some "design flaws" for example: the optional footswitch pedal could only be asigned to a function either hold or tap tempo, but if you save it on a patch it affected ALL other patches, so all patches would use the external foot pedal with the same option... it was nice to find out live that my delays no longer responded to the tap tempo control!
anyway, just my opinion... |

It's easier to understand, if there are examples, you can compare with. The picture becomes fuller. Thanks!

| | | | I did not like the Zoom B2 I tried out for an hour or two, but this one has me thinking of replacing my BP80, if only for the ability to record directly from it and do loops. That would mean I could get rid of my RC-2 and BP80, and maybe even the M-Audio interface I just got. I probably wouldn't get all of my money's worth out of using the effects within unless the synth was really good, as I'm not using the BP80 for much other than some reverb and occasionally the drum machine. I will definitely have to give this little guy a test drive as soon as they hit this area. |

| | | Thomann.de has the zoom b3 listen too now ZOOM B3 - Thomann UK Cyberstore
They don't give a release date yet, but offer as Digitech BP355 as equivalent alternative, it does have a expresion pedal which is nice!
Anyone has any experience with the BP355, and does/will it hold up against the zoom B3?

IDK | I'm sure they didn't carry Zoom until around the 2010 fall time at least: I looked for Zoom products in every way imaginable (including VERY thorough Google searches) back then. I never searched after that because I assumed they didn't stock Zoom. They must've made a change sometime in the past year or so.

An hour or two isn't enough time. In fact, it took me a couple of months to learn to tweak mine. The key for me was the clean blend in the ZNR module. With different amp simulator models, the blend has to low-like 30 to 40%. With others, 80+ %. Also, the eq and compressor must be used sparingly. Even so, I can see how the B2 isn't for everyone--it does have a certain tone that is hard to dial out...luckily, I happen to like it.
I can't wait to try the B3. One thing I don't like about the B2 is that you can't mix & match amp sims with different cab models. I have an old 503 guitar/bass modeler. It didn't have many amp or cab models, but you could mix & match them...and also vary mic placement simulations. Hopefully the B3 will do that--it was very useful. |

| | | | I understand I didn't give it a long time, but I didn't like any of the sounds it generated in the time I did spend with it. But if you'll note the rest of my post, I am eager to try out the newest model. |

Anyone has any experience with the BP355, and does/will it hold up against the zoom B3? | Thomann actually shows them as "in stock". Another strange thing is that if I follow your link, the price shows as 171€, however, if I follow the Spanish link, it is 168€. Must be to do with the exchange, but both prices are in euros!
I am torn between this and the B2.1u for travelling-practice whilst I´m away.

| | | Hi !
I recieved it last friday from Thomann !
My first impressions are... amazing !
I wanted a multieffects processor with a good AD convertor that doesn't deteriorate my bass signal... And it works very well.
The amp simulations are very good and the record interface is very nice too !
The distos like the big muff are very cool and not "synthetic" like in others multieffects processors ! I like the possibility to balance the wet and dry sound of the effect's patch
It's all what I wanted |
