New Zoom G3

Has anyone tried the new Zoom G3 with a bass yet? The demos sound pretty impressive - for example the tracking speed and quality of the Octave effect, and I would be interested to hear how that compares with something like the MXR M288. All those good effects and features (including a looper) in one box for the price sure is tempting.

It looks like Zoom's answer to the Line 6 M series. Too bad there's only 3 knobs on deck for each effect. I wonder what's under the hood for extra parameters and if there are any bass amp models. The sansamp and tube pre models on the B2 were pretty good.

Your gonna have trouble getting good bass tone from it cause the eq controls just arrent going to be able to boost low bass if needed after overdrive. Better to get one of the bass processsors imo. Ive tried high end zooms for guitar on bass, and they like all guitar nultis dont have good eq for bass freqs. Great units for guitar though and Zooms bass units esp the upper end ones are also very good. The lower end ones not so much which is common to all mfg's low end of the line stuff.

Yeah, looking at their website I'm a bit underwhelmed by the selection of amp and effect models. I'm sure it's nice for guitar but not so much for bass.
