So i'm new to effects and have a question. I recently got a Shuttle 6 and putting together a rig. My question is about a pedal something like the Tech 21 VT Bass pedal. So what does this pedal provide the i can't do with the controls on the head itself. I'm sure i'm missing something simple but since i have never owned a pedal like this (or any other but i do understand what other pedals like fuzz etc. do). Simple question i'm sure but a s a newbie to effects maybe you can set me straight on this

The VT Bass is basically an amp emulator, specifically Ampeg from B-15s to SVTs as well as some other sounds.

For me, it was great for getting tube sounds from my SS GK rig when I was playing in a cover band and needed to cop a number of different tones.

I haven't played the Shuttle, but since it has a tube pre, you may be able to get some of those tones with just your amp. But if you needed that raging SVT sound, the VT Bass would be a way to get it.
