Next pedal: Boomstick Bottomfeeder or MXR Carbon Copy

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm trying to decide on my next pedal and i'm torn between these two pedals... The filter would be cool because it's different from the bassballs and the delay would also be cool because it's something pretty different to my current set up... which inidentally is:

TU-2 --> MicroPOG --> Bassdrive MOSFET --> B:assmaster --> Bassballs --> Analogman Mini-Chorus (deep)

What do you guys reckon?

I would go with the bottom feeder. They are just so usably awesome. I love mine, I don't really use my delay that much.

TBH, i would go for the carbon copy.
i found the BF to be bit too subtle for my taste, it's a great pedal, but not for general filter useage for me, YMMV

The BF is great, it works well where a normal filter would be too OTT, there's a in depth review on bassfuzz.com, check it out.

Get the Carbon Copy since you have a filter effect already in the Bassballs.

Tough call. Like both. Own both. I'd wager that you'll find more use for the filter than the delay. As far as filters go, the BF is a totally diff. flavor than the bassballs and much more useable (I also own the Bassballs...).

Bottom Feeder gets my vote!

I might get a second one for my band board.

I've owned the BF, and still have a CC. From my experience, I used to BF much more than I do (still to this day) the CC. The only reason that I gave up the BF was because I finally laid down some fat cash on a Barge Concepts Grinder (Lovetone Meatball clone).

So my vote would go for the envelope filter as far as usability in your standard band. Now if you were doing spacey/looped/noise/ambient stuff, the CC would be the better choice and has a ton of cool stuff that you can do with it.
