Okay, I've searched. Really, I promise. Please don't hate me if it's here somewhere...
I'm new here, and to the bass, so the question may be simple, but if I don't ask, I'll never know. How did David Paton get that sound in "Nikita?" Yes, it's probably obvious, but I don't have any experience with effects pedals for bass, never even seen one in person. I just play the instrument straight through the board... |

Yes, I do mean the Elton John song, and if theres nothing there but bass, then I need a better instrument. I guess it was even simpler than I thought, huh?
