Am I the only bassist who still runs directly to the amp? I mean, I have a few DigiTech pedals but they were a gift.
I think the pure sound of the amp sounds better then any type of distortion or pedal.
Leave pedals to the guitarists.

Leave pedals to the guitarists. | Don't flatter yourself, sir.
You're not 'the only one'. There are plenty of people who run a clean signal, as do us effects guys!
Coming onto the effects forum and asking if someone on here doesn't use pedals is unoriginal, unfunny and alarmingly unwitty - essentially, stupid question.

I think the sound of a groove sounds better than any type of slap or pop.
Leave the wankery to the guitarists. |

New question: Is there a pedal out there that can add to my tone without distorting my sound?

People come to the effects forum to discuss effects. The OP was just being obnoxious and he knew it. |

It doesn't have to be an all-or-none issue. |
