From Tone Factor http://www.tonefactor.com/...
So, here you have it. They are officially inviting you to try out pedals you buy from them with zero risk and zero guilt for one full year. And they only charge a 20% fee IF it is damaged or in obviously used condition.
Plus, they will give store credit for pedals they DID NOT sell you as long as you return it within 60 days. That's pretty amazing!
Their Standard Return Policy for pedals you buy from them directly:
* Direct pedal purchases from Tone Factor can be returned up to ONE FULL YEAR from date of purchase.
* Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging and paperwork.
* All returns must have an authorized RA #.
* Items returned in compliance qualify for a full refund (minus shipping cost) or exchange.
* Items returned in damaged or used condition are subject to restocking fees of 20%.
* Refunds can take 10-14 days from receipt of return.
For pedals you do NOT buy from them...their very novel Universal Return Policy:
* Pedals purchased from other authorized dealers can be returned to Tone Factor for full purchase price within 60 days.
* Any new pedal purchase qualifies, whether we stock it or not.
* Items must be in original condition with box and paperwork.
* Proof of purchase required
* This offer is for store credit only (no cash refunds on merchandise from other dealers).
* Store credit is good towards anything that we stock.
Plus they have a Low Price Guarantee if you find pedal cheaper someplace else. And most pedals ship free to the USA.
I know some people here had some moral issues with buying a pedal, auditioning it and then returning it if you didn't like it. Well, your conscience can be now be clear.

unless i'm reading it wrong | Well, yes and no. You are talking (above) about their policy for pedals YOU DON"T BUY at Tone Factor. Yes, they accept returns for pedals that aren't purchased there. I think its amazing they have such a policy at all. You can always use the store credit for something you want. Better than having a pedal sit in a drawer - if you can't sell it here that is.
For pedals you do purchase at Tone Factor you get a FULL CASH REFUND for up to a year....

Do with it as you will. I like businesses who take risks and are customer-focused. They will be on my short list next time I need something. And they also price-match.

To be honest with myself, I'd prob'ly never use the return service, but it's nice to see, just in case. |

I'm seriously waiting as long as I can based on a) their return policy; b) their level of correspondence (I haven't even bought anything from them yet and they answer my emails almost straight away); c) their prices and international shipping policy ($14.95 internationally, any purchases over $299 qualifies for free international shipping).
On these three things they can't be beaten, unless someone can prove to me otherwise.
