Not sure what to think about this...

This morning, I logged onto my myspace page because I got an e-mail saying that I had new messages. One was from someone who apparently only set up a myspace account a few days ago, saying that she works for the Evets Corp(the makers of Danelectro effects and instruments). Apparently, they want to use at least part of the quote "I'm pretty much jonesing for these to come out, because I'm probably going to buy 3 or 4 of them." in some kind of ad campaign. Normally, I would have no problem with that, and I would just send an e-mail out saying "Sure, go ahead and use the quote", but she offered to give me 3 of the new pedals just to let them use the quote. I decided to send her my work address instead of my home address, because I have just about everything shipped to work.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this kind of thing, and whether or not it should bother me. I mean, I would love to get some effects for free, but it's just kinda freaking out the paranoid part of me.

what is the significance of the quote? why would she want to use, IMO its not very catchy.

I'm pretty much jonesing for one of those longhorn baritone guitars... They look so cool I think I might have to buy 3 or 4 of them!

Dude if they were going to want to use a quote I'd want more out of it. If this is a real deal proposition they they should give you $$$$$ and free future products.

If they are offering the products to you for free for use of a simple quote, and you don't mind giving your shipping address out. Go for it. No harm no foul.

I hope it's legit too. I told her which 3 of the pedals I would like, and didn't even pick the 3 most expensive ones, just three that I was actually interested in. Besides, I've basically been a free spokesman for Dano for the last 10 years anyway(check my sig & profile). I've only owned one pedal out of 25 that wasn't made by them, and I've gotten a few people to buy their products simply because they heard something that I played using them.

I asked for the Metal II, the Vibe, and the Tremolo. I don't really need another OD, as I've already got 2 of them, and I only want 2 choruses as well. I'm currently bidding on the Metal I pedal on ebay, and I want the Metal II to replace the Black Coffee metal distortion that I gave to a guitarist friend of mine a year and a half ago, and I've been planning on buying vibrato and tremolo pedals for a little while now, so I figured that that would be perfect for the three pedals they're hopefully going to give me.
