Not using an expensive effect to the fullest -- replace it with something cheaper?

Okay, so I've got a relatively complex chain:

Bass >> LS-2
Send A >> Eventide Pitchfactor >> Copilot FX Orbit >> Modfactor >>return
Send B >> Pigtronix Mothership >> return
>> Boss DD-6 >> Amp

Right now I'm only using the sub section and occasionally the ringmod on the Mothership. I used to have the board in series with the Mothership first, but 1) the wave shapes are really distinctive sounding even with other effects after which didn't give enough tonal variation for my taste and 2) the subs weirded out the sub octave tracking (and envelope following) on the PF if I ran both, causing me extra tap-dancing.

I really really like the Mothership, but I don't see using it for the synth sounds anytime soon; I could get pretty much all of my current sounds with an OC-3 or what have you.

So, should I ditch the Mothership for a cheaper unit and pocket the difference? Replace the Mothership on the board, but hold on to it for another day? Just leave it?

Flip it, buy a replacement unit and spend the extra dime on a fuzz pedal.

Not enough fuzz on that board.

It doesn't matter if it's cheap or not. My theory is if you are not using it and either giving it justice or are not happy then sell it and look around the market for stuff that has what you want from that pedal and not the other crap.

I.E.: use to have a EHX BMS XO and traded it for something I would use more: POG2. Then got a combo of pedals that do all the things I liked about the BMS (now with WAY more overall control) and none of the stuff that I didn't like. ( Digitech BSW and Behringer BSY-600)

Any specific suggestions? I got a bunch off the board (an old DOD Bass Grunge that kills every muff I've tried and a DOD Punkifier whose circuit must be populated with pure win), but I really want a zero noise/gated fuzz which I have plenty of in the Orbit.

Definitely want an octave down, maybe a frantabit, maybe an SFT if someone could tell me about noise issues...
